Party time at the mall

BRING your jubilee party to the Meridian Centre in Peacehaven for a right royal celebration.

Peacehaven Town Council is organising a party for the Queen's Golden Jubilee and wants to hear from any groups or entertainers who would like to help.

Town council leisure and amenity manager Steve Keogh said: 'The council is asking the community to really get behind this celebration. If you haven't planned anything for the day, why not join us in the Meridian Centre mall for a big party.

'The theme of the day is to Bring Your Party To Us you provide the food and we'll provide the entertainment. There will be a number of styles of music and dance during the day.'

Mime artist

There are also plans to decorate the mall.

Steve added: 'We are after photos of the Silver Jubilee celebrations to go on display, or any royal connection with the town.

'We want people to join in the entertainment, so if you are a street artist, a face painter, mime artist or you would just like to come down to help on the day, give us a call. Most of all we want families to come along to make the day a bit special.'
