COFFEE MORNINGS: This week the coffee mornings will be organised by: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday September 16, Sussex Pet Rescue; Thursday, Julie Zambita.

COMMUNITY CAFÉ: Now open six mornings, in the foyer, Community House, Meridian Centre. Tea, coffee, egg, bacon, sausage sandwiches and cooked breakfasts available. Run by local charities. Monday and Wednesday morning the community café is organised by Sussex Pet Rescue.

KNOW DEMENTIA: Memory moments café. Everyone welcome, especially those with memory problems and their family supporter. Every Friday from 10am to 1pm, Anzac Room, Community House. Meridian Centre.

BINGO: As well as monthly Friday Bingo evenings the Mayor will run Monthly Wednesday afternoon sessions. The next Wednesday afternoon session will be on September 21 at 2pm, and the next Friday evening session will be held on September 23 at 7pm both at Community House.

THE DELL: The next car boot sale will be held on Sunday, organised by the 5th Peacehaven Brownies.

COUNCIL MEETINGS: Monday, Employment Sub 4.30pm, closed meeting; Tuesday, Policy and Finance, Anzac Room 7.30pm.

CINEMA: The next film at the Peacehaven Cinema will be Florence Foster Jenkins on Wednesday September 21 at 7.30pm, Main Hall, Community House.

SPECIAL OFFER: For all wrestling enthusiasts, the next spectacular at Peacehaven is on Saturday October 22 in aid of the Mayor’s local project fund. The first 40 tickets sold from the Information Office, Meridian Centre will be at a special introductory price of just £9 per adult and £8 for concessions, family tickets (two adults two children under 16) £34. Hurry this offer won’t last.

FUN CHARITY WALK: In aid of the Mayor of Peacehaven’s local charities. This event will take place on Friday October 7 at 10am, there will be a short and longer walk, if you are interested in joining in please contact [email protected] or 01273 585493 for just a £1 registration fee.

VANDALISM: Due to the increased vandalism in the town the Town Manager is requesting that residents report any signs of vandalism to the police using the 101 number quoting crime number 1208 15082016. Please do report these issues and any information direct to the Town Council and we shall inform the Police.

QUIZ: The next general knowledge quiz evening at Community House will be held on Friday September 30. Anyone wishing to enter a team of no more than eight players please contact [email protected] the registration fee is just £2 per person. Come and join in the fun, bring your own snacks and drinks. The quiz starts at 7.30pm.
