PEACEHAVEN WI: The sun came out to greet our May meeting resulting in many smiling faces and a new member was welcomed. An interesting and full report was given on the East Sussex Federation Annual Meeting at the Winter Gardens in Eastbourne and all members who attended agreed that it was an excellent afternoon with the National Federation Chairman speaking at length on how she started with the WI and, of course, on meeting the Queen. She was followed by a dynamic talk by Mandy Hickson on not only becoming a pilot, but one of the few women to fly tornadoes. Amazing.

We then discussed and voted on the two Resolutions to go through to the annual meeting in June. Time for tea, after which a bring and buy and plenty of time to catch up with friends finished the afternoon. Our next meeting will be on June 1. (Joy Allen).
