PEACEHAVEN WI: We had a very busy afternoon at our first meeting of 2016, and two visitors were welcomed. Members were forthcoming in paying the yearly subscription together with deposits for the outing in August. Resolutions were discussed and decided upon with a show of hands. Winners of competitions throughout the year were applauded and presented with a cup. During the tea break a bring and buy sale was conducted.

The afternoon speaker, Sue Margolis, spoke about her daughter’s life in the Israeli army and what it was like living on a Kibbutz. This was a source of worry for her mother.

Our next meeting will be held in the Anzac Room on Wednesday, February 3. Your presence will be most welcome especially those interested in home-baking as the speaker will be giving a demonstration on Sugar Craft. (Joy Allen).
