Peacehaven gears up for popular annual Christmas festival event

Peacehaven Town Council has been busy organising its Christmas Festival event today (Saturday) at Community House and Meridian Centre Mall.

The event runs from 12pm until 4pm. Residents will have the chance to win a bin which may contain prizes. Town Mayor Cllr Robbie Robertson said: “I was at the summer fayre and used the litter bin in the refreshments tent, when a group of residents took the time to discuss the problems with the rubbish collections and the issue of seagulls ripping bags open and general waste. The conversation moved on that the bins were much sought after and can be bought from Lewes District Council, so we thought they would make a rather good prize. There are 12 bins up for grabs, some it is hoped will also have prizes inside, there will be questions and fun quizzes during the Christmas Festival, so listen out and if you know the answer you may win one.”

There will also be carol singers, a Samba Band, and Santa’s Grotto.
