Having found the site useful she jumped at the chance to take on her new job when the opportunity came.

She said: As a teenage mother myself, I know the ups and downs that may arise as a teenage parent. I wanted to communicate and support people in the same position and let them know I could be a friend to them.

She added: In my role as moderator I go to the forum every day to read postings that have been made. I make newcomers feel welcome and also ensure that the forum is friendly place for everyone to vist.

Babyworld s marketing manager Anita Oldrey said: The information superhighway has become the latest way to make friends and meet like-minded people. Sometimes it s easier to chat to someone about a problem or to ask for advice via the Internet.
