WEDDING FAYRE: This Sunday June 28 sees the first ever Wedding Fayre at the Memorial hall, held by the Brownies and Guides. The Fayre runs from 10am until 4pm; there will be lots of stalls to help you organise your wedding day plus a raffle and refreshments; entry is free. This is an exciting new venture for the hall, please support it if you can.

ARTS AND CRAFTS FAIR : I went along to the Arts and Crafts Fair last Sunday; there was quite a range of stalls with lots on offer from children’s clothes to chocolates to handmade cards plus a variety of refreshments - well worth a visit. The next one will be held on Sunday July 19, 10.30am until 4.30pm, pop in and take a look around!

PEASMARSH SCHOOL FAIR: Peasmarsh CE School’s Summer Fair will take place on Saturday July 11 this year, 12 - 3pm. There will be delicious food and drink, a bouncy castle, face painting, tombola, games, raffle, arts and crafts stalls plus karate and dance presentations. Entry for adults is £1, children are free (however they must be accompanied by an adult). Go along and join in the fun, and help raise funds for our school.

NATIONAL TRUST: This Saturday June 27 there will be a talk ‘Playing the Clown’ at The Barn Theatre, Smallhythe Place, at 6.30pm. Brian Freeland will present his very personal biography of George Bernard Shaw. Tickets are £10 and can be obtained from Smallhythe Place on 01580 762334.

The garden will be open from 5.00pm to enjoy a picnic before the performance.

RECREATION GROUND COMMITTEE: The next meeting of the Recreation Ground Committee is on Thursday July 2 at the Pavilion, 6pm. New committee members are needed so If you have some time to help please go along to the meeting, you will be very welcome.

PLAYSPACE FUNDRAISING CONCERT: The Sing For Fun group along with children from Peasmarsh Primary School will be presenting an entertainment on Saturday July 4 at 3pm in the Memorial hall. Entrance will be £3.50 which includes refreshments; this is a fund raising event for the Playspace project.

PARISH COUNCIL : The next Peasmarsh Parish Council meeting will be on Tuesday July 9 at 7.30 at the hall, all Peasmarsh residents are welcome to attend.

DOCTOR’S SURGERIES: The surgeries at the hall in July will be on Tuesday 7 and Tuesday 21 at 11.30am for pre-booked appointments only - book your appointment through Rye Medical Centre.

CHURCH SERVICES: This Sunday both the 8am and 10am services will be at Beckley church.
