PET SERVICE: This is the third year for the annual Pet Service for our parish which was held at Beckley Church last Sunday. By 11am the churchyard was full of dogs and children and tortoises ….. and adults, and although the sun didn’t shine much, there was no rain and it was warm. Fr Bill conducted a simple service of thanksgiving for all the animals with whom we share our planet, and blessed the animals present and their owners, and a small group of Barleycorns sang beautifully. Afterwards many of the congregation were able to stay and enjoy a picnic and the company of those with whom they had shared the service. Animals and children all behaved perfectly. In addition to tea and coffee and soft drinks there was some excellent cake on sale (thanks, Zai !) other snacks, and fresh strawberries and cream. An added bonus was just over £100 to go towards church expenses.

Thanks to Chris for a churchyard in such good condition, and to everyone else for making it such a success.

CHURCH SERVICES: This Sunday there will be a service of Holy Eucharist at Peasmarsh church at 10am, the 8am service is at Beckley church.
