PEASMARSH FLOWER FESTIVAL: This weekend sees the Flower Festival at Peasmarsh church, it runs from Saturday 23 until Monday 25 May. There will be a plant stall, refreshments and a raffle. The church will be open from 10am until 5pm on the Sunday and Monday; on the Saturday the very popular and talented Peasmarsh and District Ladies Choir will be performing a varied programme of music at 6.30pm. On the Sunday the Morris men will be dancing in the churchyard after the 10am service.

RYE 10 RACE: The 4th Rye Race takes place this Sunday May 24, starting from Jempson’s car park at 10am. This race is fundraising for the upkeep of the Memorial hall so hopefully there will be lots of runners and lots of money raised!

JEMPSON’S BOOT FAIR: There will be a Boot fair at Jempson’s on Bank Holiday Monday May 25 in aid of Rye Responders.

UDIMORE GARDEN SAFARI: On Saturday May 30, seven beautiful Udimore gardens will be open to the public between 1.30pm and 5.30pm, the village’s very first garden safari.

You can collect tickets (£6, children free) and maps at the Community Hall, near the church. Tea and cakes will be available there too, and plants (also at Beauchamps). This will be a fundraising event for St Mary’s Church.

SING FOR FUN: On Saturday July 4 the Sing for Fun group along with pupils from Peasmarsh church will present an entertainment at the Memorial hall in aid of the Play Space Project - more details to follow.

ROCK AND ROLL NIGHT: Another Rock and Roll night is planned with the group ‘Something Else’ for Saturday August 15 at the hall - tickets should be available next month.

CHURCH SERVICES: This Sunday there will be a service at Peasmarsh church at 10am.
