PEASMARSH QUIZ: Tomorrow night (Saturday) at the hall there will be a Quiz Night. Entrance is £5.50 which includes a ploughman’s supper; teams can have up to 8 members or come along and join one of the teams on the night! These evenings are always a lot of fun so what are you waiting for?

PEASMARSH FLOWER FESTIVAL: The Annual Flower Festival will take place over the weekend of May 23 - 25 at Peasmarsh church.The church always looks stunning for the Flower Festival so please pop in and admire it! If you would like to help with arranging flowers, refreshments, plant stall or raffle please contact Deirdre Bull on 01797 230208 or 07826 723409 or email [email protected]. This year the Peasmarsh and District Ladies Choir are performing a concert of varied music at Peasmarsh church on Saturday May 23 at 6.30pm - definitely worth going along to! Refreshments will be served; there will be a retiring collection.

ART AND CRAFTS FAIR: There will be another Arts and Crafts Fair at the hall on May 17, 10.30am - 4.30pm - stalls last time included paintings, greetings cards, jewellery, handmade chocolate and knitted items; there are refreshments available too. Why not go along and have a browse and a snack!

RYE 10 RACE: The 4th Rye 10 Race in aid of hall funds will be taking place on Sunday May 24, starting at Jempson’s car park at 10am. Volunteers to help man water stations and act as course marshals are welcome - please contact David on 230205 for more information or to volunteer.

ROTARY CLUB WALK: The Rotary Club of Rye and Winchelsea Annual Charity Walk takes place this year on Sunday May 24. This is an invigorating walk around the meadows and wetlands surrounding Camber Castle and the Rye Harbour Nature Reserve. You can go at your own pace with a choice of three distances from 4 to 10 miles. Sponsorship forms are available from Phillips and Stubbs in Rye.

SPEED WATCH GROUP: This group was set up in response to concerns by residents about the speed of traffic driving through Peasmarsh. The group has been very successful in helping to reduce traffic speeds but is need of some more volunteers. If you could spare some time to help with this valuable group please contact the Parish Clerk on 01424 752698 or email [email protected] .

PHOTOGRAPHY COMPETITION: Don’t forget to submit your best photographs for the Memorial Hall photographic Competition - The Memorial Hall Management Committee and Peasmarsh C of E Primary School are running a photographic competition to find pictures for a 2016 Peasmarsh Calendar and are looking for pictures that show the variety and things that make Peasmarsh the village it is.The competition will run until September 11, winners will be notified by September 25 and announced in the October edition of The Peasmarsh Periodical

CHURCH SERVICES: This Sunday both the 8am and 10am services will be at Beckley church.
