LUNCH CLUB: Sadly, we have had to discontinue the Monday Lunch Club for the time being, for a variety of reasons. We are really grateful to Lisa and James for all the effort they have put into preparing meals for us since September, and we hope that we shall be able to work something out before too long that is beneficial to everyone.

CHILDREN’S PLAYSPACE: Please watch out for the leaflet from the Recreation Ground Committee which will be delivered with the February Periodical. As those who use it are aware the children’s playspace is urgently in need of investment (people and money) to keep it safe and looking smart. There will be some financial support from the Recreation Ground Committee itself, and the Parish Council, and the committee will be looking for some help from charitable bodies, but we must raise some funds from the village itself. Please respond to the appeal – even if it is just a couple of pounds or the offer to help with a fund-raising event.

FILM NIGHT: On Saturday February 7 at the hall there will be a showing of ‘What we did on our holiday’ with David Tennant, Rosamund Pike and Billy Connolly. Doors open at 6.45, film starts at 7.30; tickets cost £5 which includes refreshment. Tickets are available in advance from Hilary on 230205.

JUMBLE SALE: On March 7 there will be a Jumble Sale at the hall from 10am - 12pm. If you have any jumble to donate it can be brought along to the hall between 6pm - 7 pm on Friday 6 March.

CHURCH SERVICES: Both the 8am and 10am services are at Beckley church this Sunday. Also don’t forget the Family Service at Beckley church on Sunday February 1 at 4pm when we shall say thank you to Father Bill Dolman for all his work as our Curate-in-Charge since Father Christopher retired. Everyone is welcome.
