Peasmarsh

PEASMARSH SURGERY : Great news about the Surgery at the Memorial hall - NHS England have reconsidered and have granted us the branch surgery at the hall. So many people signed the petition and the support has been amazing; congratulations to everyone involved! I will keep you informed as to the progress now this has been granted, hopefully it will be up and running in the not too distant future.

REMEMBRANCE SUNDAY : It was good to see the church full for the Remembrance Sunday service, with the Royal British Legion, Guides and Brownies being represented and lots of people there paying their respects. I couldn’t stay until the very end because Steve was also bell ringing for the Service in Beckley, but it was a moving service as always, made more so by the quiet dignity of our Peasmarsh veterans in the congregation.

QUIZ NIGHT : Thank you to everyone who came along to the Quiz at the hall last Saturday, there was a good turn out and some new faces. It was a very close contest this time, congratulations to the winning team who won by a tie break question! Thanks as always to Damien and Gina for running the Quiz, and to all the people who set up, provide and prepare the food and then clear up at the end. These Quiz nights are always fun; the next one will be on January 10 2015 so put it in your diary now!

The Lunch Club will now be held every fortnight so the next one will be on November 24, these dates coincide with the Bingo (thank you Trevor and Pauline!) so definitely worth a trip to the hall for good fresh food and fun!
