Peasmarsh

Mary Hitchins, 2 The Old Hop Gardens

I would like to thank everyone who came along and/or sponsored my son Ethan on Monday evening at the Horse and Cart. His ‘head shave’ has so far raised over £400 for Demelza Hospice Care for Children. Thanks also to Caron and Richard at the pub!

At last! This Friday we confidently expect our excellent builders to hand over the keys to our newly refurbished Memorial Hall. Then, as soon as the furniture and other equipment can be installed, it will be there for the whole village – we hope for many decades to come.

The Committee is planning a grand formal “Opening” on October 12 to which all Peasmarsh residents will be invited.

Here’s a reminder that, weather permitting, the next working party in the churchyard will be on Sunday, September 8 in the afternoon. The more volunteers, the more work we shall get done. Please come along and help.

Rye Medical Centre and Ferry Road Patient Participation Groups are running their next event on Wednesday September 11 at 6.30pm at Rye Community Primary School.
