Don’t forget Peasmarsh Flying Start Pre-School are holding a Save a Life event on Saturday July 13, 9am - 12 noon at Peasmarsh Primary School’s field. There will be stands and demonstrations from the Fire Brigade, Police, RNLI and ASA plus a bouncy castle, face painting, raffle, tombola and refreshments! Entry is free, go along and meet the emergency services and learn how to keep your children safe.

Today (Friday July 5) Rye Film Club will be showing the film Argo, doors open at 6.30pm for a 7pm start.

The Rye and District Association of the National Trust is holding a traditional afternoon Tea and competition on Saturday July 13. Enjoy a traditional afternoon tea at Powdermills Hotel, Battle (sandwiches, scones, clotted cream, jam, cakes, tea or coffee) with waitress service in The Orangery. There will also be a prize for the best hat! The hotel has lovely grounds, which should look wonderful in July, so this will provide an ideal opportunity for a leisurely stroll after tea, price £13.50 per person. Ferry Road Health Centre’s patients’ participation group is running an event at the Health Centre on Wednesday July 10 from 10am to 12 noon when Neville Bettley, the clinical team leader, NHS paramedic, will advise on first aid in the home, including what to do when waiting for the Ambulance to arrive. All welcome.

Services at Peasmarsh church this Sunday will be Holy Eucharist at 10am and Evensong at 3pm.
