Peasmarsh Flying Start Pre-School are holding a ‘Save a Life’ event on Saturday July 13, 9am - 12 noon at Peasmarsh Primary School’s field. Did you know that 450 people drown in the UK every year? Half of children aged between seven and 11 can’t swim a length unaided! The Pre-School’s Save a Life Event will have stands and demonstrations from the fire brigade, Pplice, RNLI and ASA plus a bouncy castle, face painting, raffle, tombola and refreshments! Entry is free, go along and meet the emergency services and learn how to keep your children safe.

The Friends of Peasmarsh Parish Church would like to thank all those from Peasmarsh, Beckley, Rye, Northiam and beyond who worked behind the scenes to make this year’s Peasmarsh Chamber Music Festival such an outstanding success. The opportunity to hear world class musicians performing in our church was only possible thanks to all those volunteers who cut the grass, trimmed the hedges and the verges, moved all the chairs and other church furniture, prepared and served and cleared food and drink, ferried musicians, offered them hospitality, sold programmes, arranged flowers and undertook all kinds of other tasks, very often at short notice, which enabled the organisers to mount this wonderful festival of music for another year.
