Peasmarsh

Mary Hitchins, 2 The Old Hop Gardens

There has been a quick response so far from residents offering to join the team to train for the traffic speed watch. Thank you to those of you who have already put your names forward following the article in this month’s Peasmarsh Periodical. We need about another 5, to make a workable “bank” of volunteers, so if you have been meaning to make contact but haven’t yet done so please contact the Parish Clerk on [email protected] or 01424 752698 or Jennifer Als [email protected] or 01797 230324 so that we can get this project off the ground.

The Rye and District Association of the National Trust have asked me to include the following: On Saturday June 22 there will be a summer picnic at Smallhythe Place from 5.00pm followed at 6.00pm by a performance in the Barn Theatre of ‘Celebrating Shakespeare’, a light hearted romp with the bard devised and directed by Peter Mould. Tickets at £12 must be ordered from Ros Adkins on 01797 253763 or can be purchased at Smallhythe Place reception desk prior to the event.
