Peasmarsh pupils visit Sikh school

PUPILS from Peasmarsh CE Primary paid a recent visit to Guru Nanak Sikh Primary school in west London.

Peasmarsh Head Alexander McMillan said: “They had a great day and shared in pupils’ celebrations marking Vaisakhi - a festival celebrating the foundation of the Sikh community.

“The children danced, ate and played together. They participated in workshops and demonstrations of turban tying as well as traditional dancing and sword play.

“Peasmarsh is looking forward to receiving pupils from Guru Nanak Primary in the summer and reciprocating the very warm welcome the pupils received.”
