My thanks to Sarah Buss for the following report: Saturday August 25 saw the annual Aaron Watson & Brian Double Memorial match at Peasmarsh, with the new Peasmarsh Saturday side taking on the Vets. The Vets however were thin on the ground so the side was made up from old & new with local lads joining in. It started with everyone gathered round the centre circle for a minute’s silence to remember Aaron & Brian! Once the whistle blew everyone was ready to battle for the trophy. It was like always an entertaining game with fun had by all. The Saturday side were run away winners with no one knowing the score, only that it was in double figures! Even the ref could only remember the Vets scored 3! Many thanks to all who donated to the raffle and brought tickets! Big thanks to both teams: Vets: Troy, Nathan, Paul, Andrew D, Jake L, Jake B, Chris C, Chip, Lee, David, Zippy, Darren, Andrew M & Joe. Peasmarsh team: Spicer, Bill, Dave G, Cass, Bussy, Dave, Barnaby, Joe, Deano, Caine, Mapes & Connor.
