Pedestrian badly hurt in road accident

At around 10.15am today (Monday) a man, aged 84, was involved in a collision with a car outside Millets in Uckfield High Street.

Paramedics and police arrived soon after and the man was rushed to the Royal Sussex County Hospital in Brighton.

Traffic diversions were put in place at the junction of Church Street and the High Street.
