Pedestrian believed to have been deliberately hit by car in St Leonards

A pedestrian injured by a car in St Leonards is believed to be the victim of a deliberate hit and run assault.

The 20-year-old man was walking with an 18-year-old woman in De Cham Road just after 2.30pm on April 3 when he was struck by a small silver car. He suffered head and leg injuries and was taken to the Conquest Hospital where he was also treated for a bleed on the brain. He has since left hospital.

The woman was not injured.

Sussex Police is appealing for anyone who witnessed the incident, who saw the silver car in the area before or afterwards or who has any information, to email [email protected] or call 101 quoting Operation Shuttle.
