A pedestrian opened a driver’s car door in a Tesco car park and punched him in the face.

The victim got out of the vehicle and a tussle ensued. The victim fell to the ground and a second man starting kicking him.

Police are appealing for witnesses to the unprovoked attack in the Sybron Way, Crowborough, car park.

The incident took place just before 8am on December 9.

PC Ian Grabiner said, “This was an unprovoked attack on a man in a busy part of town, and there would have been plenty of people walking and driving around at the time.

“We would urge anyone who saw anything to come forward to assist in our investigation by contacting us on or 101, quoting serial 196 of 09/12.”
