Pedestrian seriously hurt in Rustington collision

AN elderly pedestrian was seriously injured in a collision with a car in Rustington yesterday (Sunday, June 6).

The 70-year-old woman, thought to be from the Rustington area, was taken to Worthing Hospital following the accident, at about 4.20pm in The Street.

Police are appealing for any witnesses to the collision, which resulted in The Street being closed for about 90 minutes.

The car driver was unhurt.
