Pensioner dies in crash
Dorothy Adams, 80, who lived in Robertsbridge, was pronounced dead at the scene following the accident on the A2100 London Road, in Mountfield, near Battle.
Her 79-year-old husband, who was driving their grey Skoda, suffered serious internal injuries and is currently at the Conquest Hospital in Hastings.
The crash happened just after 5.30pm yesterday (Sunday).

Hide AdSergeant Mike Dunne, of Polegate Road Policing Unit, said: “This is a very tragic incident and are thoughts are with the family of the deceased woman and the injured driver.
“If you witnessed the collision or saw the Skoda car and HGV lorry prior to the incident please call Sussex Police on 101 quoting Operation Belford.”
A 57-year-old man from Wales, who was arrested at the scene on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving, has been bailed until February 12 pending further enquiries.
