Pensioner robbed in Angmering alleyway

A PENSIONER has been pushed to the ground and robbed of her handbag in Angmering.

The 68-year-old woman was threatened by a man as she walked along an alleyway off Honey Lane yesterday afternoon (Tuesday, January 4) at about 4.25.

He approached her from behind and demanded her handbag. When she tried to hang onto it, the robber pushed her to the ground, snatched it off her and ran off with it.

The handbag contained bank cards and cash. The victim suffered slight bruising and soreness to her hand and rib cage, but did not need hospital treatment.

The robber is described as white, aged in his late teens to early 20s, between 5ft 6inch and 5ft 7inch tall, and wearing a dark coloured top and a distinctive coloured scarf.
