The children in year seven helped plant ten different species as part of The Conservation Volunteers’ #IDigTrees campaign.

Concordia said it chose to partner with the school for this project as the two already have a close working relationship.

Fiona Callender, head of volunteering at Concordia, said: “How lovely to see people for real, be outdoors and to do some conservation. We have some very happy year-seven students, who are going to look after their trees for at least the next five years.”

Angmering students have benefited from Concordia’s NCS programme in the past, as well as the new wellbeing programme, designed to boost self-confidence and encourage self-care.
