A24 reopens as injured driver taken to Worthing Hospital

The A24 has reopened after it was shut due to an overturned car at West Grinstead.

Sussex Police said the incident happened just before 11am today, June 17 on the southbound A24 at West Grinstead, south of the junction with the A272.

A spokesman said: “The driver sustained an ankle injury and was taken to Worthing Hospital.

“The inside lane remained open and the outside lane was closed until 12.20pm.”

No other vehicle or person was reported to have been involved, he added.
