Access to Butts Brow in Eastbourne blocked off

It comes after the council received reports of ‘many people’ driving up to Butts Brow to go for walks during the week.

In a social media post this morning, the council said police would be patrolling the area today.

A photo, sent in by reader Callum Curtis-Bennett, shows the road has now been blocked off completely to motorists.

According to advice from the Government, people should only be exercising near to their homes and should not travel unnecessarily.
