Air ambulance attends South Downs village incident

The air ambulance attended an incident in a South Downs village earlier today.

South East Coast Ambulance Service confirmed it was called at 10.20am to reports a person was injured after falling into a river.

The person fell into the River Stor in Storrington, near Fryern Close.

A spokesman said: “Ambulance crews attended the scene and were joined at the scene by the air ambulance service.

“The person was treated at the scene for injuries including a leg injury before being taken to Royal Sussex County Hospital in Brighton by road.”
