Alternative ideas for the Chichester Parking Management Plan

I am strongly opposed to the Chichester Parking Management Plan.

Here is my alternative plan for reviving Chichester and helping it to thrive in the future:

1 Increase the number of car parking spaces in the city centre

2 Reduce parking charges, introduce a flat rate or pay-on-departure

3 Redesign the Westgate Leisure Centre car park so Everyone Active members park free by scanning their membership card

4 Drastically increase bus services in the whole Chichester district

5 Reduce bus fares

6 Introduce free bus passes for over-60s

7 Improve rail services

8 Reduce business rates for city centre businesses to bring them in line with out-of-town businesses

9 Approve applications for a nightlife venue in Chichester to encourage students to apply to Chichester College and the university.
