Angmering A259 to close overnight for roadworks

A significant stretch of the A259 in Angmering is set to close for roadworks overnight.

Work to widen and improve the stretch of road between Angmering and Littlehampton is progressing ahead of an expected completion date of autumn, 2022.

The carriageway between Station Road and the A280 roundabout will close between 8pm and 6am from tonight (April 6) until Tuesday, April 13.

According to West Sussex Highways, the closures will be for trenching to take place across the road.

Last week, West Sussex County Council delivered an update on the £25million scheme, which will see the A259 widened into a dual-carriageway.
