These are just some of the pups at Arundawn hoping to find loving families.
The rescue, located near Horsham, focuses on providing rescue, rehabilitation and rehoming for council pound strays.

1. Dolly - Poodle
Dolly is a new arrival council pound kennels and is aged between four and five-years-old. Arundawn said she is already showing herself to be confident. She is friendly around children and other dogs. However, she can also be 'needy and demanding', which is typical of a Poodle, according to Arundawn. Photo: Arundawn

2. Peggy - three-year-old Pug
Peggy is a very sweet and affectionate little girl who loves nothing more than to be by your side, according to Arundawn. She has 'excellent' recall and loves her long walks off the lead. She's looking for a calm and relaxed home, potentially with another dog. She can sometimes get dominant around female dogs though, Arundawn said. Peggy is currently in foster with children and is described as an 'delightful little dog'. Photo: Arundawn

3. Lionel - nine-month-old Bulldog cross
Lionel is a boisterous and loving pup. He is ideally looking for a home with another dog, or one where there is plenty of playtime and socialisation on offer. He is good with children aged 10 and over, according to Arundawn, and has not been cat tested. He walks well on the lead and is described as a 'really lovely dog'. Photo: Arundawn

4. Pepe - ten-year-old Chihuahua cross Jack Russell
Pepe was sadly abandoned at about ten years old, according to Arundawn. He has been described as 'bright and joyful' and loves the company of other dogs. He's looking for a family environment with at least one other canine friend as he loves the company of others. Photo: Arundawn
