Ashington Festival set to go ahead ‘bigger and better’ this year
Organisers of Ashington Festival are hoping to stage a ‘bigger and better’ event this year - provided Government Covid restrictions are lifted as planned.

It is to be held on August 21 and organisers say all the festival favourites will return with arena acts, side shows, food outlets, a licensed bar, cake stall, fun fair, dog show, car boot sale, crafts - and more - finishing with an evening fireworks display.
The day will start with a carnival procession at 1.30pm with marching bands, clowns and majorette troupes.
Residents are being urged to form groups with neighbours to enter a float or walking group - with £100 cash prize on offer to the winners.
