Banner and balloons greet Ashurst children on first day back at school
Staff and governors at Ashurst CE Aided Primary School welcomed back pupils with a banner and balloons as they started their first day back today after lockdown.

But co-headteachers Mrs T Clarke and Mrs S Smith said in a statement there were some mixed emotions.
They said: “Pupils were SO excited to be back together, all came in happy, smiling and chatting, keen to share their experiences with everyone.
“We did however see some parents with a tear or two, as well as some skipping away!!”
