Battle Bonfire is one of the oldest and most revered of the Sussex bonfire traditions with origins dating back to 1646. Saturday’s torch-lit procession sets off from Market Road, at the top of town, at 7.45pm. There will be a huge bonfire on the Abbey Green and a spectacular fireworks display over the Abbey.
