Bosham Open Gardens Committee hands cheque to charity

Bosham Open Gardens Committee celebrated the success of the event by handing over a cheque to charity.

The open garden event, which took place on June 12, handed over a cheque for £16,150 to Lisa Hoare from Dementia Support.

In aid of Dementia Support at Sage House, Tangmere 21 gardens were open to the public.

Rosemary Hanbury, organsier of the event said: “Over the past months, the Wayfinders, based at Sage House in Tangmere, have seen an average of 77 new customers each month.

"They have also seen an increase in severity of cases as people open up about the challenges they have faced over lockdown. The people of Bosham have all pulled together to stage the Open Gardens Event, have a wonderful day out and donate to a local cause in our West Sussex Community. A winning formula for everyone.”
