Burgess Hill woman's virtual pet show to raise money for Brighton and Sussex NHS charities

A Burgess Hill woman has come up with a unique fundraising idea to help Brighton and Sussex University Hospitals NHS charities.

Justine Crookall, who has organised many fundraising appeals in the past for various charities, wanted to help the NHS during the coronavirus crisis by running a virtual pet show.

The Brighton & Sussex University Hospitals NHS charities.support all wards and departments at their four hospitals in Haywards Heath and Brighton.

She said: "I came up with the idea of a virtual pet show run on Facebook that was a bit of much needed light relief for people to take part in whilst on lockdown.

"I launched the pet show less than a week ago and it has already proved to be a success with lots of entries and positive feedback.

"I love organising charity appeals and what better time to do this."
