Thanks to funding from Maple Drive Community Group, The Escape Youth Club has commissioned Christmas trinkets from CIRLO Crafts to deliver to residents in local care homes and those isolated at home.

Karen Taylor, chairman of The Escape Youth Club, said: “We know this year has been difficult for many, particularly the elderly community who have been very isolated this year.

“With an increase in mental health issues across all ages, we have found working with our members and other school children on the Kindness Campaign has given us all a positive project to focus on.

“Helping others is key for building resilience in children and young adults.”

The club has been working with its members and other local school children to write letters to the elderly community in the run up to Christmas.

Andy McNiven, managing director at Right At Home Mid Sussex, said: “We are delighted to be working with The Escape Youth Club to support our clients in the run up to Christmas.
