“I have done lots of competitions before but to be up against 30 others countries was something else.

“To come fourth was really quite something.”

The theme was Enchanted Forest and Chris created a doll-like sculpture made entirely from pure Belgian chocolate. The figure measured around 90cm, weighed 25kg and took four months to create.

Chris said, “When I do competitions I make the figures in clay first before creating the final piece in chocolate.”

The Culinary Olympics takes place every four years and the 2020 event was held in Stuttgart. Chris’ masterpiece from the event has been transported home from Germany and is to be entered in to a competition in London.

Chris also is being filmed for the second time for Channel Five’s Wonderful World of Chocolate.
