Coronavirus: All playgrounds in Mid Sussex close

All children’s playgrounds in Mid Sussex have closed following last night’s announcement by Prime Minister Boris Johnson.

The Prime Minister outlined new stricter restrictions on people leaving their homes to help stop the spread of coronavirus, in an address to the nation from No10.

He said that people must now stay at home except for shopping for basic necessities, daily exercise, any medical need and travelling to and from essential work.

His announcement came as the UK death toll reached 335 yesterday (March 23).

Mid Sussex District Council said: “Following the PM’s announcement last night all playgrounds in Mid Sussex will be closed until further notice.

“Please follow the Government advice and stay at home and away from others.”
