Coronavirus: Confirmed cases in East Sussex rise to 73

The confirmed number of coronavirus cases in East Sussex have risen, according to Public Health England.

The latest figures show 73 people have now tested positive for the virus across the county.

Confirmed cases in East Sussex increased by 28 in the past 24 hours, when the number was recorded as 45.

The previous day saw cases increase by just one.

In West Sussex, confirmed cases have now risen to 146, while there are 44 in Brighton and Hove.

In Kent, there have been 383 recorded cases.

There have been 25,150 cases in the UK, as of Tuesday (March 31) – an increase of 3,009 in the past 24 hours.

So far, 1789 people have died after contracting coronavirus.
