MP for Lewes Maria Caulfield has announced she will be ‘returning to the front line in the NHS to support the fight against the coronavirus’.

The Conservative MP and former nurse, who used to work at the Royal Marsden Hospital in Brompton, made the announcement on Twitter this morning (March 20).

It comes after a call from Health Secretary Matt Hancock for former doctors and nurses to return to help fight Covid-19.

Mrs Caulfield said: “I will be returning to the front line in the NHS to support the fight against the coronavirus, important we all help where we can.”
