Cow rescued from Eastbourne river

A cow has been rescued from a river in Eastbourne by the fire service.

A spokesman for East Sussex Fire and Rescue said crews were called to the incident at a river behind Seaside Road at 11.05am this morning.

One fire engine and the animal rescue crew attended the stricken cow.
