A special Doctor Who evening is being hosted by Guardian journalist and long-standing Doctor Who fan Chris Broughton.
As well as special archive episode screenings, featuring Tom Baker going up against the Daleks, there will be a guest panel featuring Dr Who Actor Matthew Waterhouse, who played Adric – one of the Doctor’s few companions who has ever died in the series.
Also on the panel are Gavin Collinson wrote a Doctor Who novella plus Mark Ayres from Radiophonic Workshop, and Chris and Jeremy Limb, the son of Radiophonic Workshop's Roger Limb.
There will also be Doctor Who-inspired artwork by St Leonards based artist and printmaker Leroy Henry on display.
The evening starts a special TV Festival taking place at the Electric Palace this weekend.
Events taking place include a Smack the Pony comedy celebration evening with Q&A with Hastings alumni actress Doon Mackichan alongside author and journalist, David Quantick, on Friday 20 September.
Inventor John Logie Baird is the focus of the Spirit of Invention night on Saturday 21st September, with PhotoHastings submissions, artist Jude Montague and Exploding Cinema's Duncan Reekie.
To close the festival, Children’s TV classics such as Basil Brush, Thunderbirds and Roland Rat will be on show on the morning of Sunday 22 September which includes a puppetry workshop with artist Lorna Crabbe.
