Dog show goes ahead with more stalls than ever before

The popular annual Clymping Dog Sanctuary fun dog show is going ahead as usual, with more stalls than ever before.

The Duchess of Norfolk, the charity’s patron, will be judging, alongside Andrew Griffiths, Arundel and South Downs MP.

Everything will be outside and the family day out will include a display by the Epic Agility team and a demo from Yvonne Tye at Happy Dogs.

Maxine Pears, treasurer, said: “We are going ahead with our annual dog show on Sunday, August 23. We have an Embarrassing Doggies behaviour clinic and lots of local stallholders. It will be very covid friendly and all outdoors.”

This year, there will be more stalls than ever before and lots of games and prizes to be won.

Classes include best veteran, best rescue, most handsome dog, prettiest pooch, best trick, best junior handler, cutest puppy, happiest dog, best fancy dress, best biscuit catcher, best condition, best doggie family and best in show.

The sanctuary’s fun social distancing guide suggests a gap of two great pyrenees, four beagles or 18 chihuahuas.

The dog show will be from 11am to 4pm, at Climping Village Hall, Crookthorne Lane, Climping.

Registration from 10am. Classes are £3 each or two classes for £5, with a maximum of two classes per dog, and all proceeds go to the Clymping Dog Sanctuary.
