Lurchers, Pomeranians and Labradors are among the adorable breeds of dog seeking homes at Dogs Trust Shoreham.
1. Bolt - crossbreed
Meet Bolt – a handsome young crossbreed, with a sweet, yet sensitive character. While very well-loved, Bolt has lived a somewhat sheltered life thus far, and because of this, he can find the big wide world overwhelming. Bolt’s perfect match would be with patient and understanding adopters, who could allow him plenty of time to settle into his new environment, and who could gradually introduce him to new experiences once he is fully settled. Bolt will need to be the only pet at home. His ideal home would be somewhere quiet and peaceful, away from the hustle and bustle, and with a garden. Photo: Dogs Trust
2. Mouse - Lurcher
Mouse is a gorgeous Lurcher with a gentle, loving nature. While he can be a little reserved when first meeting new people, it doesn’t take him too long to make friends. Dogs Trust said once he knows you well, you’ll have gained a loyal and affectionate best pal for life. Mouse was originally found as a stray, so the charity has limited information on his background. Because of this, and his initial shy character, he may be best suited to living with secondary-school age children who could be gentle around him. He can live with other dogs who match his calm personality, but cannot live with cats or other small animals. Photo: Dogs Trust
3. Billy - nine-year-old Collie cross Spaniel
Enthusiastic Billy is described by Dogs Trust as 'a very smart cookie' who loves to use his brain. He’s seeking an active family who could keep him busy with plenty of fun, reward-based training, as well as enriching walks in the countryside. While lots of fun to be around, Billy does have a sensitive side and can become easily overwhelmed or frustrated. Patient adopters, who could support him with his confidence and be help him with his big feelings, would be ideal. He is best suited to a calmer household, where the youngest family members are in their later teens, and he will need to be the only pet. Photo: Dogs Trust
4. Guapie - senior Labrador cross
Guapie is a gorgeous, senior gentleman with a lot of love to give, according to Dogs Trust. The charity describes him as a laid-back, gentle, and loving dog who loves cuddles on the sofa. While he can appear to be a little ‘indifferent’ when first getting to know someone, he is a friendly boy and loves spending time with his favourite people. Dogs Trust said he could share his home with primary school-aged children, as long as they can be respectful around him, as he won’t be up for lots of rough and tumble-style play. He could live with calm and friendly dogs, but can't live with cats. Photo: Dogs Trust
