Meet Bonnie, Sophie and Buffy, a Maltese trio looking for a retirement home where they can be together.

Dogs Trust Shoreham is caring for these ‘old age pooches’ at the rehoming centre but staff say they cannot wait for life after kennels, so they can enjoy all the luxuries a home has to offer.

Each of the dogs is unique, with individual personalities, but they are all fun to be around.

Nine-year-old Bonnie appears to be the most confident of the bunch but can actually be a little sensitive at heart. She enjoys her independence, investigating her surroundings, and reveals her bright and cheeky character the more you get to know her.

Ten-year-old Sophie is calm and sweet in nature, and takes most things in her stride. She loves to relax on a lap while receiving a gentle fuss and also likes to potter about on her walks, as long as it is not raining.

At 11-years-old, Bonnie is the eldest. She is mostly deaf and has only one eye but does not let it hamper her and she has a real love for life. Her favourite pastimes include spending time with people, enjoying a tasty meal and the occasional stroll.

Somewhere quiet and peaceful, with a garden to sunbathe in would be the perfect home.

Dogs Trust said: “Ultimately, they are looking for somewhere to spend their retirement years, relaxing in the company of an understanding family and enjoying each day as it comes.”

Anyone in the house should be over the age of 14, and this trio will need to be the only dogs in their household. They are also unable to live with cats but the charity is not yet sure how they will feel around other species.
