“We are now urgently asking the local community to support us by simply donating good-quality items that they have been clearing out while at home.

“Every item sold will be turned into funds for research that could help transform the lives of those in the area living with heart and circulatory diseases.”

The fashion shop would welcome items such as clothing, handbags, shoes and books.

Age UK, which has shops in Brunswick Road, Shoreham, and Wallace Parade, Goring Road, Worthing, is also looking for support, including volunteers.

Nicola Chalcraft, manager at Age UK Shoreham, said: “We’re so excited to be able to open our doors again. As well as a wide range of bargains, we’ve also had a special offer on end-of-season clothing. All items purchased help raise much-needed funds for Age UK so it can continue supporting people in later life.

“We’re also appealing to anyone in Shoreham who may be able to give up some time to help out by volunteering at the shop. We depend on the support of volunteers, so if you have found yourself with more free time and think you can help us, please give the Age UK Shoreham shop a call on 01273 440608. Even small amounts of time can really make a huge difference.”
