Easebourne community thanked for 'extraordinary' support following vandalism

Easebourne residents have been thanked for their 'extraordinary' support with a fundraiser to protect their community park.

A Go Fund Me page was set up to help the parish council raised enough money for CCTV following a spate of vandalism in the park, in particular, to the Roundhouse.

One anonymous donator handed £201 towards the cause, then at £799, to round the funds to £1,000.

Easebourne Parish councillor Ian Milne said: "It is looking fairly healthy and I think it is quite likely that we will get the CCTV because of the tremendous support from the community.

"From our point of view it is really nice to see comments on social media and large numbers of the community feel the same as we do. It's a lovely family space that is being threatened by the few.

"It has been extraordinary — the parish council is absolutely delighted."
