East Preston yarnbombers bring Easter joy to village – in pictures

The secret East Preston Yarnbombers have been at it again. On Good Friday evening, bunnies and rabbits popped up in locations around the village.

Each animal was attached to a label reading: “Happy Easter. A gift from us to you. Please take me home.”

A message appeared on the East Preston Community Facebook page inviting ‘children young (and old) to claim a free Easter chick or Bunny this weekend’.

Over the last few years, the yarnbombers have decorated the village around the time of the East Preston Festival.

Last year, when the festival was cancelled due to the pandemic, their display still went ahead.

Old bicycles and scooters were yarnbombed and placed around the village.

The feedback from residents and visitors was amazing and really brightened up villagers walks while they were staying local, a spokesman said.
