East Sussex residents are asked to speak up about their pandemic experiences

The council is teaming up with Activmob, a business that speaks to communities to capture an insight into local issues through guided conversations and interviews. Activmob will speak to people in East Sussex who have either needed help during the pandemic or have helped others.

In a Facebook post from the council, men, older people and people from ethnic minority backgrounds are particular groups it wants to hear from.

All of this is with the aim of improving how information around adult social care and coronavirus is shared with residents.

Anyone taking part will be asked about what they know about adult social care, their experiences during the pandemic and if they’ve had the necessary information and help. The conversation will also find out what information would be helpful in the future.

Participants don’t need to have any experience or knowledge of adult social care to take part.

The conversations will last about 30-40 minutes by phone or video call and there are a maximum of 50 interviews taking place.

All the conversations are anonymous unless the council is worried someone is at risk of harm and interviewees will be told at the time if this is the case.
